Dr. Kim Haynes
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kim Haynes grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was active in the 4-H organization and showed horses on a regular basis. Animals were always an important part of her life; after working in human doctors’ offices for a few years, Dr. Haynes decided to combine her fascination with medicine and her adoration of animals. Veterinary medicine was the perfect choice!
Dr. Haynes began attending classes at Tulsa Junior College when her youngest son was only two months old, all the while working full-time at a dermatologist’s office. Next, she moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma for a final year of prerequisite coursework before beginning veterinary school at Oklahoma State University. In addition to her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Haynes holds a Bachelor’s degree in physiology from the school. After graduation, Dr. Haynes took a job at Garland Animal Services. Through that position, she met Dr. Dunn and began working part-time here at Forest Lane Animal Clinic. It wasn’t long before she signed on with the team as an Associate Veterinarian! Dr. Haynes has a particular passion for preventative medicine; if she can educate a pet owner on a preventative care technique, she can go home happy at the end of the day. When time allows outside of work, Dr. Haynes can be found horseback riding, gardening, remodeling her home, and exercising. She and her husband, Robby, have two grown sons and share their home with many pets of their own. They have a dog named Truby; three cats who go by Fishbait, Gabriella, and Corey; a trio of horses named Sugar, Splenda, and Stevia; and Bubba the longhorn steer.
